Under Govt.funded R&D program in our country we have worked on NIR instrumentaion for pulp&Paper plastic Industry. We like,like - minded people work together for Golbal society. I do agree wth you expect China &Japan that NIRS is slugish in Asian Country. We are also working NIR hyperspectral Image proceesinn and Chemometrics.we invite like mind people throughout world to join under NIRS . |

only few people are aware of the NIRS application in my country. There is tremondous business scope for NIRS equipment manufacturers in Asia.
I think if every one provided his own data, it will automatically solve the querry. |

I was wondering if anyone was aware of any information regarding the size of the NIR market relative to Raman and/or IR? I'm interested in the total market size including instrument sales, software development, applications development etc. Any help or pointers to references would be greatly appreciated.

It depends on how much you want to pay for the information! There are firms that produce such market reports, but they can be expensive! One on NIR spectroscopy is available from the publishers of Instrumenta (formerly the Analytical Instrument Industry Report); details at http://www.aiireport.com/market_briefings/mbs.htm. You might also want to look at Strategic Directions International (http://www.strategic-directions.com); I don't know whether they have anything in the NIR field or not. |

It's very difficult to estimate the market size but due to NIR's fast analyses, this method is incresingly popular now.
Infact, I am also interested to know about its market size interms of volume.
Any one can help me??? |
