Büchi Young Scientists NIRAward

Büchi Labortechnik AG announces the Büchi NIRAward. It is dedicated to young scientists (35 years and under), who worked during their diploma or doctoral thesis in the field of NIR spectroscopy achieving outstanding results. The value of the award amounts to US $2000. Participants are encouraged to submit results of work in the field of NIR which open up or represent new applications of NIR spectroscopy.

The award session will be held during the International Conference of Near Infrared Spectroscopy 2013. Only one application per author is accepted. Corresponding publications of approximately ten pages in English have to be sent together with a completed application form (enclosed) and a curriculum vitae to the following address: Büchi Labortechnik AG, NIRAward, CH-9230 Flawil 1, Switzerland, [email protected].

Papers can be submitted even if they have been published previously. However, such publication must not be more than two years from the date of application for the Büchi NIRAward. The contributions will be judged by an international jury of recognised experts—Dr M. Witkowski (US FDA), Dr M. Manley (Stellenbosch University), Professor G. Downey (Teagasc), Professor A.C. Moffat (School of Pharmacy) and Professor Y. Ozaki (Kwansei-Gakuin University).

The deadline is 15 August. Awards are made at a public meeting where the winners are also given the opportunity to present their results.
