Fibre optic multiplexers

Avantes have released their next generation Fibre Optic Multiplexers (FOM), which are faster, more reliable and quieter. The FOM integrates with Avantes’ spectroscopy software AvaSoft.

Fibre Optic Multiplexers enable single or multiple light sources and spectrometers to make multi-point serial measurements. This new generation uses USB 2.0, has complete integration with AvaSoft and full Avantes DLL support. All these FOMs are supplied with new broadband fibres exclusive to Avantes. Broadband fibres combine the advantages of high OH solarisation resistant fibre for the UV with low OH fibre for the NIR.

The FOM is available in three versions: 1 × 16, 2 × 8 and 4 × 4. As standard, they are supplied with 400 μm fibre optic cables. Any other diameter is available on request.
