Microscopy & Analysis is producing
a new guide for Microscope Accessories and Supplies!
If your company produces accessories and supplies
for microscopists - we need your info!
SUBMIT UP TO 50 PRODUCT ENTRIES ENTIRELY FREE OF
CHARGE!
Submit up to 50 ‘basic’ product entries entirely free of
charge in the Microscope Accessories Guide. This will be circulated
to 46,000 purchasers of microscopy equipment and supplies with the July
2008 issue of Microscopy and Analysis.
In addition it will also be distributed, free of charge at all key
microscopy related events from July 2008 through June 2009 (for full
details, see ‘Distribution’ below.)
PRODUCT FORMAT: the Microscope Accessories Guide will
be in an A5 print format (149mmx210mm, 6x8¼"), as well as
an e-magazine version hosted on the Microscopy & Analysis website
[www.microscopy-analysis.com] as well as for emailing to our online
subscribers. It will contain:
• Lists of microscope accessories and supplies in over 50 categories,
appearing under four main headings (Electron Microscopy, Light Microscopy,
Probe Microscopy, Specimen Preparation)
• High profile display advertising positions in preferred regional
editions of the Guide (Americas / Asia Pacific or European or Worldwide)
What is a free ‘basic’ entry?
This is simply: the name of the product, the name of the company, and
the company’s area of distribution (e.g. Americas / Asia Pacific
/ Europe / Worldwide) denoted by a relevant mapping symbol (see page
opposite)
How can I make my product(s) stand out from all the others in the
lists?
Any free ‘basic’ product entry can be upgraded to an ‘enhanced’
by opting to add a product picture and/or a 25 word product description
(fees applicable – see page opposite).
What are the benefits of upgrading ‘basic’ entries to
‘enhanced’ entries?
Apart from giving certain of your products a higher profile amongst
the lists of ‘basic’ product entries, companies opting for
‘enhanced’ entries get to display their full company contact
details – companies only placing free ‘basic’ entries
simply get their company name displayed.
What is the difference in appearance between a free ‘basic’
entry and an ‘enhanced’ entry?
To see how these appear please see page opposite under ‘How the
Guide will look’
Can I mix and match free and enhanced entries?
Absolutely! You can take one or more enhanced entries and submit up
to 49 ‘basic’ free listings only, if you want to (Free ‘basic’
entries are limited to 50 in total, less the number of enhanced entries
– thus 10 ‘enhanced’ entries leaves an entitlement
of 40 free ‘basic’ entries. There will be a charge for each
additional basic entry. There is no limit on ‘enhanced’
entries.)
What are the benefits of placing display advertising in the Accessories
Guide?
Taking display advertising allows companies to place up to five fully
enhanced product entries (that is, picture plus 25 word description)
as well as full company contact details, free of charge.
How does the categorization work?
The Microscope Accessories Guide will be divided into four main headings:
Light Microscopy accessories, Electron Microscopy accessories, Probe
Microscopy accessories and Specimen Preparation Equipment. Each heading
has a number of designated categories within it. (To see categories
under the four main headings see below).
What if I can't find a suitable category which matches my product(s)?
In the entry form, simply select the relevant heading (LM, EM, PM,
SPE) rather than a specific category – we will then create a new
category where relevant*
You say I can have up to 50 free products, but the form only has room
for 5?
Simply submit the print form up to ten times, preferably via fax (or
the online form 5 times, as 10 entries in one go can be made). You will
only need to include just your company name in the second and subsequent
forms to allow us to identify them as further forms from you.
Distribution
The Guide will be published in separate editions (although the listings
content will be identical in each). The American edition, going out
to 18,000+ subscribers, the Asia Pacific edition, to 12,000+ subscribers,
the European edition going out to 16,000+ subscribers. There will also
be bonus distribution at many key microscopy events around the world
over the next year, including: Microscopy & Microanalysis, Albuquerque;
EMC, Aachen, Germany; APEM, Jeju, Korea; Neuroscience, Washington DC;
PITTCON 2009, Chicago
What is the final deadline for submitting ‘basic’ and
‘enhanced’ product entries?
The deadline for the submission of all product entries will be Friday,
23 May, 2008
* The inclusion of all product entries, whether ‘basic’
or ‘enhanced’ will be subject to the discretion of the editor,
based on their relevance as a legitimate accessory or supply.
