IASIM-10

18–19 November 2010, Dublin, Ireland

Teagasc, Ashtown Food Research Centre, Ashtown, Dublin 15, Ireland

The International Association for Spectral Imaging invites you to Dublin for IASIM-10, a conference on spectral imaging. IASIM provides a single forum for the European spectral imaging community regardless of the spectral (ultraviolet, visible, near, mid or far infrared) or spatial range (microscopic, macroscopic, remote sensing) of images. Continuing in the spirit and focus of EASIM-09, this conference welcomes submissions from imaging researchers in all fields and will strive to explore commonalities across platforms and applications. Given the different development stages of various imaging techniques, cross-fertilisation of ideas and exchange of experience with mathematical exploration techniques will form the bedrock of this third conference.

IASIM-10 will comprise two full days of scientific sessions exploring (i) instrumentation and problems associated with image acquisition, (ii) chemometrics and data processing issues and (iii) a wide range of applications from the agricultural, food, pharmaceutical and remote sensing research communities.

The programme will follow the successful format of the previous conference with technical sessions involving presentations by invited speakers on key topics, shorter talks on successful applications and problematic issues of spectral imaging, as well as a general poster session. There will be no parallel sessions, allowing for maximum opportunities for learning and interaction. A novel feature will be an informal image analysis session during which attendees will be invited to demonstrate the philosophy and mathematical approaches used in their own research fields for analysis of a specific image supplied by the conference organisers!
