You need to contact Foss directly or your local Service Engineer. It sometimes means the grating is stuck or the spectrometer is going bad. Foss likes to have a record of problems that people are having to streamline support and monitor instrument issues.
I agree with Nancy. If they contact Foss service Dep't, they may be able to:
a) interpret the error printouts
b) talk them through some more detailed tests
c) in any case, a fix will undoubtedly require a service call, so they'll have to contact Foss in the end; might as well save time and do it right away.
