Jae :

A comment. I dont recomed use check cell for standarization. Is better use a real sample. In the old ISI software you can use only one std for all. But in winisi you can use diferent std in each product. I say..If you are measuring soy for example, use soy sample as check cell.
Regards
Fernando

Dear Jae:

First is good know the follow.
I supose your Instrument are spining 5000 and transport 6500.
If the model was created in 5000 you can use the same model in the 6500. But if the model was created in 6500 you can not use it in 5000. ( range problem)
For use model created in 6500 in a 5000 Instrument will be necesary use Trim Software in order to cut the spectra to 5000 range ( cal file) and after is necesary run the model again in order to create eqa file.
In the experience quarter cup and spining using the same identical model and the same sample not always give same result, sometimes you can find diferences. You need evaluate this diferences.
Ana garrido is write, you need use a adapter for put your check cell in the Transport Module. But is necesary program in the software , quarter cup with option Static. With this the transport module dont have movement and you can read the check cell.
I supose you know clone procedure.
Take spectra in transport and store it ( transpor.nir). take spectra en spining ring store as spining.nir.
Go to clone option , use this both file and created a *.STD file.
regards
Fernando

To your question.

You must use and adapter for the chech cell (ring cup) to be able to scan it in the transport module. If you do not have this adapter try to get one from FOSS or may be from Unity or make one yourself.

What type of NIR are you using? I am guessing from what you have said you are using a 5000 or 6500. Are you trying to match your own to each other or back to someone else's master? If you just want to match the 2 to each other I would take 5 sample that cover the range of variation you are looking at. Pack both the spinning cups and the transport cups all 5 cells side by side and scan them 1-5 3 times. I would then look are the RMS of the 3 scans to make sure all 3 are good. Then play with a single sample standardization by averaging all the good samples for each NIR and look at a multi sample standardization where you just average the good scans for each sample. At least thats how i like to do it.

We have different type's NIR. One is spinning type(using ring cup), the other is transport type(using quarter cup).
How should I standardize the transport type by using checkcell of spinning type NIR ?
