Dear All,
I am doing NIRS for predict wood properties, like Pulp Yield, Basic Density, Fiber Length, Coarseness, and Wood Chemistry. Is possible used Drill Wood as NIRS sample compare with Core Wood as Reference sample? Drill Wood sample is collect by drill machine at 90-120 cm of tree height. Core Wood sample is collect at the same heigth with diameter 12 mm, and length depend on diameter of tree, collect by treecore machine or increment borer. we have tried this method for several time, and we get RSQ for equation is not really good, about 0,5 - 0,8 for all parameter above. We try to get the best equation future (RSQ 0,9..)So, have you any experience/suggest to us for our method? thank you for your information.

Regards,
Hermudananto
