Another Australian 'second hand' group is LETTA [[email protected]] www.LETTA.com.au. To answer Fred....Australian tax law should also support the 'donation' strategy (spoken as a Uni based person!) KerryW |

Michel, Not sure about Australia, but in US many companies donate their equipment to educational institutions and take a tax writeoff for full value. Fred |

Hi Michel Yes there are some dealers of second hand lab instruments out there. For example, I have had some experience (in Australia) with TechTrader (techtrader.com.au); and I am aware of LabTrader.com in the USA. As always, the web search engines can be useful. Cheers, Mark Gishen. |

Mike - yes, there are companies that specialize in refurbishing and reselling analytical equipment. I don't recall their names, offhand, but Pittcon is coming up soon and I've seen them there, so when you go, keep an eye out - or even better, use the product locator service to find them. \o/ /_\ |

Hi all, My company would like to sell a used FT-NIR spectrometer (online model). Short of throwing it on Ebay, are there any more specialized channels available? |
