Hi Stephen,

Your best bet might be to order some pure compound and scan it yourself. I found 2 phenylphenol at Sigma-Aldrich, a 1-gram ampule is $76, pricey stuff. It is apparently a solid.

Sounds like you've got in interesting project, the kind that always seems to present a question with every answer.

Best regards,
Dave

We're doing some reaction monitoring and it appears that I've formed several species that I wasn't expecting. One of the possible compounds is Hydroxybiphenyl [(1,1'-Binphenyl)-2-ol]. Would anyone have a spectrum of this compound so that I can determine if this is what I've formed? I didn't find any spectra out in the internet world when I did a search for it. Any help would be appreciated.
