I guess you are new. The user of the Brukker - is he also new? Because if he is, then he would not know the answer, but if he is veteran, he should know.

Anyway, to your question - the level to which NIR can measure depends on what and in what matrix.
If you want to meausure trace ppm levels of organic compounds in a matrix that contains lots of moisture - don't watste your time. The organics have much smaller absorption coefficients, while water have very large ones across almost the whole spectrum.
If you want to meausre mositure in organic solvents - that have very low absorption in the 1934nm region you can do 5 to 10 ppm range, like I did in water in dichlorobenzene - which has basically no absorption in the 1934 nm region.
Similar results were obtained in methanol, although lower limit was about 15 to 20 ppm.
If you are talking about organics in organics - it will depend on many parmaters - your noise, relative absorption coefficients of the one you measure in the peak wavelengths vs. the absorption of the matrix in same wavelengths region, etc.

Once you analyze the different possible situations, you can try to assess if the application you have in mind is feasible or not.

I am new to this forum, i am working as support engineer to the NIR user of Bruker instrument.
Just a question, is any technique available in NIR to do analysis down to ppm range.
