I am sending this in case you haven't gotten a previous announcement on the Chambersburg meeting next year, the first one of the 21st century. The dates for Chambersburg are 8/10-8/16. There will be short courses on (at) 8/10 & (Sun) 8/11 and general check-in will be afternoon of 8/11. There is a need for volunteers for several slots, such as distributing keys, picking up keys, etc. If you are interested in helping, or know of someone that is, or want further information on the Chambersburg meeting, go to www.idrc-chambersburg.org. | ||

Bruce, Thanks for reminding me that I intended to ask potential delegates about pre-conference training courses. Tom Fearn and I will be running the "beginners" training course on basic NIR spectroscopy and regression analysis. This will be held on either the 10th or 11th August. The question is What other courses would you like? In the past there have been courses on Advanced chemometrics, Calibration transfer, Electronics, Instrumentation developments, PLS, Statistics. If there is sufficient interest in any of these or other courses we will try to find people to give them and they will take place on 11th August and the Basic course will be on the 10th, otherwise the basic course will be on the Sunday.
