Speaking Theoretically: Beer's Law challenge

This column gets its title from the name Chuck Miller has given the "Physics" session at this year's upcoming International Diffuse Reflectance Conference (IDRC) at Chambersburg. In a publicity release, Chuck said to get ready for a different technical session format for the session dealing with the Physics of Diffuse Reflectance and recommended attendees to study Beer's Law beforehand. The different format referred to is largely discussion-based with a few talks included. This article is to aid you in your "reading up"!
