This article, seeks to achieve two goals using near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy for washing powder analysis. The first is to develop a method for the fast, qualitative identification of different composites and washing agent types, while the second is to produce a quantitative analytical model for the simultaneous determination of washing powder ingredients such as surface-detergents, phosphate, carbonate etc. in different types of full washing agents (FWA), compact washing agents (CWA) and colour washing agents (CoWA).
