Analysis of cellulose and lactose—two common excipients in Ecstasy tablets

This article discusses how NIR was applied to the study of lactose and cellulose in order to determine the different chemical forms of these two substances, which are two common exipients in Ecstasy, as well as the differentiation of their origin (producer). This could be useful in a forensic context, for the highlighting of a production network, for example, or for cases of counterfeiting legal drugs.
