Using NIR spectroscopy to quantify binary ranitidine hydrochloride polymorphic mixtures

Cushla M. McGoverin and Keith C. Gordon
Department of Chemistry, University of Otago, Union Place, Dunedin, New Zealand

This article shows how NIR spectroscopy is being incorporated into the analytical protocol for the identification and quantification of polymorphic mixtures, as it allows for large throughout, a consequence of minimal sample preparation, and can be used to analyse both the chemical and physical properties of the sample.
